Seasons of Singlehood
Modern age dating is so dumb! A bunch of misplaced feelings and unhealed junk. Though I’ve had my eye on someone and I have for sometime, I’ve been single for the last 6 years. I’m not including situationships, parasocial dynamics, online frolic or any other complexities. Rather having someone in my corner I can confide in and be my true self unapologetically.
A safe space where I can show all of me, share my truth, and share my heart free of judgment. A union where needs are met physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. As we enter the middle of the year reflection is now more apparent for me. Honestly, if I could do it again I would’ve picked somebody in high school or college and made it work.
As life continues to come together a desire to share that with someone, a perfect match is on the horizon. I’m not asking for a fantasy or just pure bliss, but rather to have my heart buried so deep in God that a partner must seek God to get to me. A union that leaves no room for question. A union that withstands the test of time and whatever else may occur. I’m not actively waiting, but anticipating a partner where we both can show up and be our full selves and the energy has no choice, but to meet us there.
Are you in a relationship or are you single? Do you desire a partner, if so what is your idea partner? What are your non negotiable traits in a partner and union in general?
