Extend Yourself Grace
I don’t like to define myself by the titles according to worldly standards. However, I understand that we all do not see the same, so titles are what define and essentially separates us. At any rate, in addition to being an artist, lightworker, intuitive, and founder of Our Room to Bloom, I coach in a different capacity. As someone who holds three degrees including a master’s degree; the pressure to be successful, to have all the answers, to maintain a certain lifestyle according to social media and the world’s standards exist.
I am learning that I must extend myself grace. I choose to operate in my purpose which is a variety of things. However, through sports and particularly coaching one cannot cheat the process. In order to be one of the greats, you must first study the greats. I am also learning to say no to temporary pleasure to focus on the bigger picture. I am also learning the importance of surrounding myself with people who have similar purpose. I’ve realized it’s hard for me to relate to those who are not doing or trying to do what I am. I appreciate the differences we have in the world, but I, we have to stop playing with our potential. Are you doing the same things you were doing last year or the year before that? Are those things helping you live out your purpose?
Lastly, I am learning to enjoying the journey. Happiness, fun, and love is important. Balance is the key and discipline is the difference. At times I put pressure on myself. And I know comparison is the thief of joy, but I know I am still apart of this human experience. I am learning to trust my gut and intuition. We know when someone is genuinely happy for us, on our team, and genuinely supporting us. On the flipside, we have intuition, and we know when something doesn’t feel right in our space and with those surrounding us. Everything we experience is a part of the bigger picture. Extend yourself grace. Trust your journey, trust every part of your journey.
